Writers Group

PLEASE NOTE: Studios630 Writers Group is on hiatus. We will resume meetings soon. If you have any questions, please use the Studios630 Facebook page to get in touch or contact us here. Thank you!

Are you a creative writer looking for the support of other writers? Need to get “unstuck” or seeking feedback on your work? Studios630 hosts a meetup of writers looking for a positive atmosphere in which to explore and hone their craft.

This group meets the second Sunday of the month (unless otherwise noted) from 3-5 p.m. We are currently meeting at ArtLife Studio and Gallery, 425 s. Main Street in Lombard.

Meetings include discussion of writing issues, critique and feedback on submitted work, freewriting exercises (as time allows) and optional “homework” writing exercises. Guest speakers may also be on the agenda.

Spend Sunday afternoon with us and get your words flowing! Please feel free to bring a short piece of your work to read. For up-to-date information, check the events on the Studios630 Facebook page.

I enjoy the Corner House open mike nights and I enjoy the artwork I see displayed there. I write short stories and poems. When is the next Studio630 writers meet up? Thanks

    • Hey Dennis, great to hear from you! We are on a break from regular meetings right now, but will start up again soon. Probably after January 1. Please like the Studios630 Facebook page to stay informed of the next writers meetup. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Dawn B.

Dear Dawn,  I'm sorry you have not had a writers group meeting yet this year.  I will keep looking if it ever starts up again.  I just wanted to let you know I recently (as of today, March 28, 2017) published a book of short stories called "Kafka Can Wait."  It is available through Amazon.  It is in both ebook and paperback formats.  Here is a link:  https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=kafka+can+wait

Thank you and I hope all is well with you,
