Are You Ready for Some Feedback?

A while back I was fortunate enough to attend the Member’s Fine Art Show of the Lombard Arts Coalition. There were some amazing pieces in the show and I was happy to meet some of the local talent in our area.

In talking with several of the artists one of the things we discussed was missing that connection with other artists for critiques. So this brings me to the heart of this article, are you an artist that is also craving critique interaction with fellow artists? Would you be interested in attending monthly, or even bi-monthly meet ups to take a look at and critique each other’s work?

Since we are still in the planning and fundraising stages of a permanent bricks and mortar location for Studios630, The Corner House Coffee House has graciously agreed to allow us to host these critique sessions at their location (St. Charles Road & Park Avenue, Lombard, IL).

On that note here are a few of the days that we are considering:

• Second Saturday of the month
• Second and Fourth Saturday of the month
• Second Sunday of the month
• Second and Fourth Sunday of the month

Please let us know if any of these are days that would allow you to attend on a regular basis. Our initial thought is that a Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., would be a great time. Times will have to be determined, keep in mind that The Corner House closes at 7:00 p.m. M-Sa, and 5:00 p.m., on Sundays.

Please let us know your thoughts on this type of meet up.

Thanks,

Sharon Tinker & Sean McMenemy
